Is not the act of
Just thinking about yourself
It is the denial of everyone else
For when you are selfish
You forget who is next to you
As if there were only one self
In the whole universe
You are part of me
As I am part of you
I am because of who we are
Ubuntu
Your selfishness erases my wholeness
Not only mine
But ours
This can’t be right
Wake up to reality
You cannot live aside
A world that feeds you
That nurtures you
You are part of it
As your selfishness
Is part of you
Just break free of it
And be your self
who is part of my self
And our selves
That will free you
From the slavery of
Selfishness!
